In November 2005, the electrical engineers Vasco Varanda Picchi and Francisco Biasoto, who worked together on an identification project of Radiofrequency identification (RFID), founded Safe Trace Indústria e Comércio de Sistemas de Rastreabilidade S/A.
Influenced by his father, one of the best known specialists in Brazil in meat-packing projects, Vasco used his experience in the meat chain area to transform the idea of identification by RFID into a project. Thus, together with his partner Francisco, he began to improve the “Traceability Method of Meat Cuts” and of the structuring of the company.

During the second semester of 2007, the project was supported by INCIT (Incubator of the Capital Goods Industry of Itajubá), which, due to a need for a greater volume of investments, put Safe Trace in contact with Fir Capital, an important manager of risk capital funds.

The year 2009 was when Safe Trace began operations with installation of the process of traceability for the upscale meat brand Bullight, from the Verdemar. supermarket network. Today, the company is in full operation, with activities in five meatpacking pants that will distribute meat tracked by several retail networks.
